Our 2008 kick-off event was held at the National Academy of Public Administration, on Wednesday, September 10. After a welcome from AWRA President Jane Rowan, AWRA immediate Past President Gerry Galloway spoke about the "Challenges of National Water Resources Policy - Moving Forward, or Not."

This first event of the newly revitalized section brought together professionals and students from across the metropolitan area, including many AWRA Directors and previous AWRA National Capital Section members.
