The National Capital Region Water Resources Symposium 2013

9 AM – 5 PM, Friday, April 5, 2013

This one-day symposium at the University of the District of Columbia will bring together experts from governmental agencies, academia, the private sector, and non-profits to present and discuss challenges and opportunities for sustainable management of water resources and infrastructure in the region, as well as nationally, and internationally.

The symposium program will include a keynote address, invited panelists, breakout sessions, and poster displays.

Presentation themes include, but are not limited to:

  • The Chesapeake Bay
  • Impact of extreme weather conditions
  • Threats to the regional ecosystem
  • Water and wastewater infrastructures
  • Wastewater exfiltration
  • Urban stormwater management
  • Geographic Information Systems
  • Water and energy nexus
  • Green technologies and energy efficiency
